Listen to your favorite CDs, MP3s, audiocassettes, and radio programs while away from home with the Coby MP-CD450 portable stereo system. A great fit for folks who want an affordable stereo for tailgaters or outdoor parties, the system is built around its top-loading CD player, which plays traditional audio CDs and CD-R/RWs along with MP3s recorded on CD. The device gives listeners access to more of their digital music library while also cutting down on CD cargo for road trips (the average CD-R holds 10 hours of compressed MP3 music). The CD player also boasts search and repeat (one or all) functions, along with a backlit LED display that details track and artist information.

To complement the CD player, Coby included both an auto-stop cassette deck and an analog AM/FM tuner. The deck's two-way recording (CD and radio) sounds particularly good thanks to the one-touch automatic level control, which ensures consistent results regardless of the source.
