It's easy to take your music with you with Sony's ZS-S2iP boombox. It works with most iPod models and charges the iPod when docked. It includes a built-in digital AM/FM tuner, an integrated CD player that supports CD-R/RW playback and a wireless remote control with full iPod menu access. The dock tray is retractable when not in use.The boombox has an auxiliary input and supports AC/DC operation (batteries not included). This is a neat boombox. I use it when I am cooking or just relaxing. I have only used it indoors (where it sounds great), but I think it is good (though not the best) for outdoors as well.
I had modest expectations when I purchased this and it has worked very well for me. I use an ipod touch in the docking station at it works great. There is no way to navigate ipod menu's (such as artist, songs, and playlist) on the boombox itself, but I use the touch interface on my ipod and it works fine. Of course, the play, pause, and forward/backward skip buttons on the boombox can be used with the ipod (for example, after you choose your favorite artist, playlist,etc on your ipod unit then you can hit play on the boombox and the song will play).
The cd player works great even with heavily used or slightly scratched cds and also plays cdr or cdrw burnt cds. The radio gets great reception. Although you won't be able to throw a window shattering party with this one, I think it is a good buy for most people. |

I have been looking for an Ipod/ tuner radio/ cd player for months. I found another brand I liked after doing a google search but I personally do not like ordering brands or from sites that I do not know. My amazon search did not yield this item. I went to Best Buy to look for something else and decided to check out the radios and there was this one but in black. I wrote down as much info as I could regarding model, etc and came home and typed into amazon. Yeah!
We use it our toddlers room so he can have all three exposed to him. We love the local Jazz and NPR stations, we occasionally still buy and receive CDs for him, and also download music onto our Itunes that we dock for him to use. Yes, the reception could be better, esp. for a digital tuner but are extremely pleased overall, love the white, and was $79 (with free ship) compared to Best Buys $99! |

| haven't used it outside yet, but the sound indoors is great. have used all components - radio (reception is great), ipod dock, and cd player. easy to move it from room to room as i clean. |

| My wife didn't consult me when she bought this, she just added it to a bigger order, so when it showed up, I was upset it was a Sony product. But this little white radio has made me very happy! It replaced an aging Aiwa mini boombox in our kitchen, now we turn off the small kitchen television, and rock out while making dinner together! Sound quality is really very good. and the remote makes this a slam dunk. Also the user interface is basic and fast, and the forward stop advance buttons I thought were only CD function buttons controls the iPod as well. Its fantastic. Best little Sony product I have ever owned, and under a hundred bucks makes this a tremendous value... One little note, we have this on top of a shelf, and the angle of the CD screen was designed for a counter height... but it doesn't matter unless your listening to the radio and need to see the display for channel selections. Just keep that in mind if you intend to throw it on top of a fridge or something out of the way... |

| This music system was what my father needed....he is 81 years old and likes to enjoy music while he is in his bed..not to mention he enjoys the news, weather, and talk radio. The remote is excellent for him and he can turn up the volume if he needs to...the wall mount is great since it takes up no space and he is able to use the remote control. thank you |

| We thought the price was to good to be true for this little bookshelf unit, but once we started using it we were amazed at how much it could do. This is perfect for our bedroom and now an essential part of our morning and evening routines. We wake to great sound and we use the remote at night to go to sleep listening to music. The digital clock is a great feature, and we can use the remote to find out about snow days without having to get out of bed. This system is not powerful enough to use for parties or family listening in a big room, it is great for smaller spaces and individual use. |
